Last updated: 17 December 2025, 07:58 AM EDT
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of InferencePort AI (the "Application"), developed by Rihaan Meher (the "Developer"). By installing, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
1. Nature of the Application
InferencePort AI is a desktop application that allows users to run locally installed generative artificial intelligence models on their own devices. The Application does not require the Developer to operate servers for AI inference, and AI-generated content is produced entirely on the user’s device.
The Developer does not control, monitor, review, filter, moderate, or store any AI-generated content produced by the Application, unless explicity shared using report methods or the chat sync feature.
2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
The Application enables the use of third-party and open-source AI models. These models may generate content that is inaccurate, misleading, offensive, explicit, inappropriate, or otherwise harmful.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- All AI-generated content is produced automatically by models selected and executed by you
- The Developer does not review, approve, or endorse any generated content
- The Developer has no ability to prevent or alter specific outputs generated by local models
You are solely responsible for how you interpret, use, share, or rely on any AI-generated content.
3. No Warranties
THE APPLICATION AND ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AND SAFETY OF CONTENT.
4. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES ARISING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT, USER PROMPTS, MODEL BEHAVIOR, OR THIRD-PARTY MODELS
- THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS, REPUTATIONAL HARM, PERSONAL INJURY, LEGAL CONSEQUENCES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES RESULTING FROM USE OF THE APPLICATION
YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF THE APPLICATION AND ANY GENERATED OUTPUT.
5. User Responsibility
You agree that you are solely responsible for:
- Selecting and configuring AI models
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Evaluating the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of AI-generated content
- Any actions taken based on AI-generated outputs
The Application is intended for informational and experimental purposes only and must not be relied upon as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
6. Third-Party Software and Open Source
The Application incorporates third-party software and open-source components, including but not limited to AI models and runtimes. Such components are governed by their own respective licenses.
The Application itself is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0, which is incorporated by reference. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and an open-source license, the open-source license shall govern with respect to the covered components.
7. No Monitoring or Moderation
The Developer does not:
- Monitor user activity
- Collect or store prompts or generated content
- Moderate or filter AI outputs
- Provide real-time content safeguards
Any reporting or feedback provided by users is used solely to improve documentation, disclosures, or application design.
8. Reporting Inappropriate Content
If you encounter AI-generated content that you believe is inappropriate or harmful, you may report your concerns to the Developer using the support contact provided in the Application or Store listing.
Reports do not require submission of prompts or generated content, and the Developer does not request or collect such data.
9. Termination
The Developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application at any time without notice. These Terms remain effective even after discontinuation.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
The Developer may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Contact
For support or inquiries, please contact the Developer using the support information provided in the Privacy Policy.
